ENLIVEN YOUR CREATIVE PRACTICE!

I am excited to announce that I am now offering a pre-recorded online course based on the Creative Art Deck. Using the cards as prompts and inspiration, the course takes you through intuitive exercises that help you establish a daily art practice––perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike!

I have picked my favorite teaching tools from the Hand/Mind connection course and present them in an easy to follow, skills building format. Each unit relates to themed cards from the deck and is introduced by a soothing meditation by my co-creator, Vicky Horner.
 
The course consists of an introduction, materials review, and six lessons. The beauty of the pre-recorded format is that you can work at your own pace and repeat the exercises as needed, with different results each time. This course never expires, so you’re free to work through the videos as you like, from anywhere in the world.

Each module of this prerecorded course will include a creative meditation lead by Vicky, an introduction to the inspiration cards for that module, and three art focus demos.  The art demos are to inspire, build confidence, relax you and most of all encourage you to work daily in your notebooks as a way to connect creatively with yourself and others.  These practices are jumping off points for further exploration. 

There is no judgement or expectation here!  This is a safe space for you to explore and play. At the end of each module I include a list of artists you can look up for further inspiration.

LET’S MEET VICKY HORNER

I am a homeopath, reiki healer, and a teacher. I have trained in Indian Head Massage and have created a healing session which helps people connect with what “needs to be healed” in their mind/body. I work with mantras and affirmations which connect people to their higher self or soul purpose. I am interested in creativity as a measure of health. Working with Eliza I have developed my creativity in new and exciting ways. It is our hope these cards, and this course, will offer you guidance, focus, and inspiration.

MATERIALS NEEDED

The Art Deck is intended to inspire you and encourage you to be creative. As such, there is no strict materials list. You’ll need the Creative Deck, of course – which comes with the Course. Other than that, I encourage you to use what you have, to upcycle, to reuse. Some things that may be helpful include:

1.     Art book/sketch book – or any blank paper, backs of envelopes, insides of cardboard containers

2.     Pigment markers – any colored writing instruments: felt tip pens, pastels, Sharpies, Crayons

3.     Paints – inexpensive children’s watercolor kits, gouache, acrylic, paint pens; whatever you have or can find

4.     Brushes – any size, any material

5.     Collage materials & medium – matte gel medium (or glue stick) and magazines, discarded mail, catalogs, ticket stubs, and the like

The pre-recorded Course, artist inspirations, guided meditations, and the Creative Deck are $185.00. The course will be available to you any time, from anywhere in the world (depending on your internet access!). If you already have the Deck and just need the Course, the price is $155.
